OMG! It was a winter wonderland! Well, not quite, as no snow, but the ice was thick on the ground and the skies were as blue as they could be!
We meet a lovely group (including a three month old puppy!) at Pontneddfechan for a 10am start and delivered a 6 mile ish walk around the FOUR waterfalls, Sgwd Gwladys, Sgwd Dwli Isaf and Uchaf and Horseshoe Falls. This route takes in farmland, old industrial areas that have now been reclaimed by nature, ancient and naturally regenerating forest and of course a few exceptional rivers.

We have a feeling that this day was one of the best to be out and about in nature, what with the steaming trees and the 'hair ice' which was abundant. Truly memorable.
We love working with the group members of Wales Outdoors and welcome all newcomers to us - it's a joy to be walking with such engaged and lovely people.
