After putting in some good effort over the past few months I’ve decided to finally pull the plug and to stop posting to my Instagram accounts. I took this decision with regard to Facebook in October 2023. This final shared post to my Instagram accounts will be the last. I’m done.
Why? Well, I’ll tell you…
Facebook is awash with shared TikToks and directly uploaded reels that can only be described as sexually explicit with the intention to groom young girls, all this curated by a business that is proven to be complicit in the promotion of paedophilia networking and image exchange.
Instagram is no better than Facebook, indeed it was Instagram that enabled paedophile networking, as exposed by the Wall Street Journal - https://www.wsj.com/articles/instagram-vast-pedophile-network-4ab7189 and blisteringly attacked for the same by Ted Cruz in the regular US Senate hearings that pit politician against tech owners:
Despite a wealth of evidence against the tech giants, nothing can be done. I know this as I have pursued Facebook with the police, the NSPCC, my MP and my MS and none will act. I’ve supplied the evidence, evidence that had I published the same, I would be serving time. All of these authorities I see as complicit in the grooming of young people through their inaction regarding the obscene power tech companies such as Meta have to publish whatever they feel is driving browsing time, and so income, on their platforms.
I got here because I am banned for life from submitting Facebook adverts and my businesses are shadow-banned by both Instagram and Facebook. This is not for publishing sexualised images of pre-teens or for stepping outside of the rules for posting images but for commenting about government policy during the Covid 19 days. My shadowbanning led me to look at Facebook in more detail and I was shocked by what I found. But don’t take my word for it. Spend time on reels. You’ll soon understand the problem and you’ll also be asking why aren’t the police prosecuting Zuckerberg.
Because I was mightily pissed off about not being able to walk the hills and that my business was being destroyed by government policy I made clear that I stood firmly against those policies, the nightmarish bombardment with Orwellian propaganda and the rollout of a ‘vaccine’ that has clearly saved none but has maimed and killed many.
For having the opinion that the nation should follow its pandemic planning protocols, in place for years, and effectively do what Sweden was doing, not lock down, Meta decided to destroy me. I am not alone. There are very many businesses up and down the UK that have suffered the same fate and are having to re-invent themselves and rebuild their businesses in a changed business and social environment.
In 2019 almost all of my business came through social media sharing and organic event promotion. Today that has dropped to zero bookings from social media.
I’ve found other ways to attract clients. And although dramatically changed, my business is doing rather well. And so, here’s to walking away from ephemeral timelines that within a few hours, or even a few minutes, a well-crafted post slips away into the ether to become a history that no one will ever re-visit or remember. And so, here’s to engagement, here, at the Wales Outdoors blog on Substack.
All communication will now be through the threads and chat available within this blog - likely the app is best - and posts that used to go to Insta and FB will now only be found here.
The only social media that remains for Wales Outdoors is Linkedin and we are not sure how long that will remain. It is a useful platform to connect with movers, shakers and potential partners but the management of Linkedin is totalitarian and very happy to go further than Meta during the pandemic by simply deleting accounts that proposed different solutions during the Covid 19 nonsense. I wasn’t on Linkedin then and I’ll remain with Linkedin for a while but that while might not be very long.
You can book our walks through the Wales Outdoors Website or, if you are a group, you can book us for a bespoke adventure, you choose the date and time, using the ‘Book Your Guide’ option.
