We had two waterfall walks this week and Andy was off to Aberystwyth mid-week for another visit to the Visit Wales Roadshow.
Waterfalls
Graham was out and about in the waterfalls with two from Germany and this is his feedback:
New 5-star review for Graham...
The tour was really very well planned and organized, Graham was a great tour guide and showed us the waterfalls, nature and even plants and mushrooms. When a downpour started after the tour, he even gave us a ride in his car to the train station in Neath, which really helped us a lot because the start and end of the tour is in a somewhat remote village and the next bus would have taken an eternity and a taxi would probably have been quite expensive. All in all, we were more than satisfied and would book a tour from this provider again at any time.
Visit Wales Roadshow
Andy attended the Visit Wales Roadshow in Aberystwyth. Not that exciting seeing as it was the same content as the Newport show a couple of weeks prior but Andy went to maintain pressure on the management and have them see sense regarding having no guided walk or indeed tourist guides that walk in the countryside on the Visit Wales Platform. Find out more here. Andy made some great contacts for his new business Wales Guided Tours and managed to have a meeting scheduled with management brought forward, the outcome of which will be detailed in a future post.
Waterfalls
Andy led a near sell out waterfall walk, collecting one from Cardiff and meeting nine at the start point, Sgwd Gwladys Cafe. It was a mostly wet day but Andy kept the banter going and maintained smiles throughout :) this is Andy’s feedback:
Rating: 5 Subject: A Welsh Hiking Experience
Text: It was a very fun and worthwhile experience. Andy was very knowledgeable and created a sense of community. The pace was maintained well and the greenery was very refreshing. Cannot forget the waterfall!
