Perhaps our busiest week… ever… Over the seven days we delivered NINE five star events, a corporate booking of team building for an engineering companies apprentices, four waterfalls walks, two ascents of Snowdon and one beach day for the returning ‘Steppin Sistas’ from Bristol.
Apprentices Waterfalls
We had a group of apprentices overnight at the wonderful ClunGwyn Farm Bunkhouse. The first day was a rather wet wander around the Six Waterfalls of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Apprentices Roman Road Challenge
Our Roman Road Challenge is a trek following in the footsteps of the legions and walking from one Roman Camp along the road laid down almost 2000 years ago to the National Park Visitor Centre. A record time of six hours was achieved by these guys, and that followed a few beers the night before. Well done!
Waterfalls
A gorgeous day with a few clients in weather that was improving.
Snowdon
A long day for Tom with a largish group of 12 of varying ability. The 3/4’s of an hour queue for the summit and the desire for hot chocolate in the cafe saw a later finish but all were happy with that.
Waterfalls
A lovely mixed group of clients that made for some great chit chat and relaxed walking in the summer sunshine.
Waterfalls
A memorable group with doctors (do we ever deliver a walk without any doctors?) and alternative thinkers that kept Andy engaged for another day chasing waterfalls.
Steppin Sistas Beach Day
Graham and Andy led a fine afternoon of exploring the intertidal zone at Ogmore by Sea. Caves, bubbling sand, cliffs and surf. What’s not to like :)
Snowdon
Tom even got some into the water at the end of the days hike to the summit.
Waterfalls
Three clients, from Russia, Romania and Italy, made for a wonderful day in the Brecon Beacons. Much chat was had concerning Andy’s literary passion, Russian authors and of course foraging was a key part of the day, the group munching on nuts and gorging on wild berries such as the humble blackberry and the delicious wild raspberry.
