I had a lot to do this week, unfortunately mainly on the computer, as my hosting company crashed my website, https://walesoutdoors.co.uk They were apologetic and worked hard to get it back up, rebooting it with saved versions, and in the end it worked, but it meant that I had to check everything, chase them and more onerously, work on the changes I had made, of which there were many, that had now been lost.
And so, I really needed a fine day out on the hill. Once the website was working, after a mega day of input and deletion, I got out to Fan Frynich, one of my favourite haunts and one that I used to live at the foot of, for a blue sky and atmospheric wander in the snow :)
A better day could not have been wished for, crisp, frozen ground and snow as far as the eye could see. And the joy of it? Being on the other side of the A470 to the honeypot Pen y Fan which we could see was rammed and actually, for most of the day its summit was in cloud. We saw a handful of lonely walkers throughout the day which felt like a true, isolated mountain experience.
