This week we were very busy again, delivering five walks over seven days, and this week it was Andy delivering each and every walk.
Waterfalls
Tuesday saw Andy meet four lovely hikers, at Pontneddfechan, in the cafe there and after final loo stops and another coffee, it was time to head off and tackle the Eight Waterfalls. Of course, there was no issue with the day, how could there be in such fine weather, and smiles were maintained, along with the banter, for the duration.
Waterfalls
It was meet at the cafe again for a lovely couple from Portsmouth who booked a private tour. This is what they said:
“Morning, thank you sooo much for a beautiful day
We absolutely loved it, sorry I didn’t reply sooner, we were off grid where we were staying, the photos are great and will defo take you up on the offer of another walk in the future,
Thank you
Lindsay, Claire and Goldie”
AND
“Andrew is an absolutely fantastic guide, really knowledgeable of the area.. overall great experience!! Highly recommend…”
Pen y Fan
I picked up a mother and daughter from Hawaii for a sunset on Pen y Fan walk, from, of all places, Merthyr Tydfil. They had come over to see Coldplay (free tickets) and were kicking their heels for a few days and wanted to see some nature. We had a great walk and chat and I learnt about the dreadful collapse of the bird population in Hawaii due to a simple mosquito. Now, that should be making the news…
Waterfalls
It was a busy day at the waterfalls but in the main, apart from at the ever popular Sgwd yr Eira, we managed to avoid the crowds. We had five paying clients with three of those picked up from Cardiff, two on a freebie, one because she walked with Andy up Snowdon a few weeks prior and the other being her daughter and it was her birthday, and, Kate came along for the ride. Plenty of smiles, cake at the amazing Clun Gwyn Cafe and served by the lovely Linda and lot’s of chat too :)
Waterfalls
The final walk of the week and the second time this week we had swimmers! A single traveller from the States who lives and works in the UK and two other over the pond visitors. We had a great day and all were returned safely back to their hotels in Cardiff by 5pm.
