Wales Outdoors delivered one event this week, a private tour of the very best of The Gower!
The Gower
The Gower is a special place. Its beaches are glorious, its heritage centre is a delight and of course on the way to the Gower you can pop into Mumbles for the Saturday morning market, the cafes and perhaps some of Joe’s Icecream :)
It was International Women’s Day and Andy, a MAN, was leading a group of seven women. Oh, the irony ;)

The work to complete the renovation of the seafront at Mumbles is still well under way, with no sign that it will be finished anytime soon, but hey, once done, it ought to last a good few years. The hike to Three Cliffs Bay was great, with good conditions underfoot as it had been dry for a few days and a soft pastel light playing with the scenic landscape photography…
It was then to Gower Heritage Centre for a vehicle charge, lunch and a tour of the 12th Century Mill. We were surprised to see the mobile sauna FULL - good on all involved in promoting the sauna lifestyle. Here you can sauna and then bath in the adjacent river. The final stop was Rhossili and two fine hikes, one along the cliff top and the other down to the beach.

Remember, we have a social hiking group walk on the 5th April and this will have a meet point of Blaenonneu Quarry Car Park and will visit the Chartists Cave. Join Us!
