Wales Outdoors delivered SIX events this week, three waterfalls hikes, a Three Castles tour, a private ‘Valleys’ tour and a hike to the summit of Snowdon!
Waterfalls
Monday, Wednesday and Friday we were out and about chasing waterfalls, and with different weather on each day. Lovely groups of visitors to the UK and with a few from the UK too, what’s not to like about our six waterfalls hike! We are after all the masters of this location ;) What we have noticed is that 2025 is the year of people from India visiting Wales - long may that continue :)

Castles
What a lovely day, relaxed and sunny and what’s not to like about having Andy guide you around the Roman, Norman and Victorian attractions of South Wales :)

Valleys
We had a private booking, two lovely ladies from the US. As it was private we made it bespoke and visited…
Aberfan Memorial Gardens
Cyfarthfa Castle
Ponsticill Reservoir
Talybont Reservoir
Talybont on Usk
Brecon Museum
Brecon Town
Llanfaes Dairy
Rhondda Heritage Park
Pontypridd Town Centre
Phew!

Snowdon
What a day, with a slew of last minute favours and bookings we ended up with 23 clients and two mountain leaders. The group were lovely and walked at their own pace, naturally forming two distinct groups. Working with Andy was the amazing Warren who was diligent and friendly too :)
This was the sunniest day of the Easter holidays and so EVERONE wanted to get to the summit of Snowdon, resulting in a one hour queue for the pic at the top. Some of our group did queue and some did not.
We descended as two groups and made an excursion to the escarpment edge, making our day circular in feel and offering dramatic views too.
All in all a grand day despite the chaos at the car park in the morning and the less than satisfactory state of the public loos - letter sent to the authorities…
