Wales Outdoors Socials - Our New Hiking Group

Our first hike was a real success! A few decided not to come, a sensible decision as they had long journeys and given the scaremongering of the Met Office (never trust their weather forecasting) but the weather was fine on the day :)

Following the hike we decided to set up a WhatsApp group for Wales Outdoors to better be able to communicate with our community of hikers. We will be chatting with members here and listing our hikes, which can be paid for, £5 pp per hike, by following the link in the event description.

As this group grows we’ll be adding functionality but for the time being a simple WhatsApp group will serve its purpose well enough :)

We also have a Facebook group that is used simply to promote the hiking group and its events.

The route for the hike around Cwmcarn was changed slightly on the day and it ended up being a 14 mile trek :) Just what was needed. Stats courtesy of techie Martin :)
