Did we say we have a Project Manager now? Yes, Kate has left her position at Cardiff University and is getting on board with the insanely complicated relationships that feed into the experience days that Wales Outdoors delivers. At some stage, she’ll write up a staff profile, but that is for a future post. Here we are looking at the collaboration between Andy and Kate as they staff the office and build those relationships, adding tourism business after tourism business to the Wales Outdoors portfolio of partners.
Wales Outdoors partners with Wales-based tourism businesses and Kate has been tasked with, when the time allows, getting out there and meeting them in person, exchanging leaflets and adding them to the Wales Outdoors website for our browsers to see and perhaps book with.
However, over the past week or so Andy and Kate have been eyes to the screen onboarding with a variety of online travel agencies and selected re-sellers and we are proud to announce the following new partnerships:
uncoverbritain - a road trip app for the UK with live bookable experience suggestions. Beautifully designed and with easy integration for us, if you’re planning a road trip in the UK we think this is a must have resource.
voicemap - VoiceMap drapes stories over statues and paints them onto walls. It pins them to art, plants them in national parks, and anchors them like buoys in busy rivers. Then, when you come along, there they are, neatly tied together by audio walks, cycles, drives, train trips and boat rides. We have added the Wales collection to our site and you can purchase tours and download the voicemap app from within the Wales Outdoors site.
manawa - a worldwide activity only website that sells experiences from scuba diving to hiking to cross country skiing. Again well designed and the staff at Manawa were so friendly and helpful we recommend taking a look.
lovetovisit - not a new connection but a connection we have renewed. We lost our connection when the awful TXGB deleted our account following a change in ticketing provider. We are now connected to Love To Visit directly through our ticketing agent Bokun. Love To Visit is a map based search engine that gives you ideas of things to do when travelling. Look out for the discounts :)
nowthingstodo - What a lovely website, simple to use, simple to onboard with thanks to Bokun, our ticketing agent and they were very welcoming too.
toristy.com - a business that aims to connect hotels and experience suppliers and so increase bookings through front desk and email campaign referrals.
tourdesk.com - as above, linking front desks with experience suppliers.
jnptravel - another luxury global destination tool that assists travellers in the finding of great tours. We are very happy to be part of their network.
goquestadventures - onboarded and able to purchase through the Wales Outdoors website is Go Quest Adventures. They say ‘You and your team will be tasked with finding clues, solving puzzles and completing challenges earning points as you go. Along the trail explore city attractions and find its hidden gems, ultimately discovering the city’s secrets and conquering your Quest.’

We are working on many more connections and will be writing a follow up post, prior to the start of the season, giving a shout out to the up-coming new partners of Wales Outdoors. Making a direct relationship with us is simple. Just CONTACT US with details and we’ll get you on our site if a Wales based tourism business or look at how you can have our wonderful products on your site. We pay a descent commission for that too :)
