Wales Outdoors Have Just Added 35 Products To Our Experiences Page
Wales Outdoors is Wales’ leading guided hike and guided tour provider, delivering small group and professionally guided hikes and tours throughout the year and across Wales. Wales Outdoors is at the tip of the spear in tourism management, networking with a host of operators that encourage direct booking for tickets or accommodation, rather than purchasing through the online travel agents (OTAs) and giving them up to 50% in commission!

We have harvested these products from an OTA and so these are not direct booking products but they do have live availability booking. The products range from city walking tours, through mountain hiking to day long vehicle based guided tours of historic attractions.
We’ll be contacting the owners of these businesses and encouraging them to onboard with TXGB so that we can deliver their products with live availability and save them between 10 and 20% on their commissions paid to the OTA.

The process of locating and onboarding new products has thrown up several interesting issues for those involved in tourism in Wales.
Shockingly, at an online meeting, 50% of those attending said that they did NOT have online ticketing for their product! Many do not have a website.
There is a distinct lack of easily found tourism products available to both the international and the domestic traveller in Pembrokeshire and in Mid Wales.
North Wales has by far the largest number of products, but that matches North Wales as being the most popular destination in Wales.
Wales Outdoors wants to sell Wales, and we see the curation of a partnered list of experiences, and another for accommodation, as the solution to improving Wales’ tourism product reach. This is the answer to growing tourism in Wales.
Every tourism product website displays a listing of partnered others, but, without fear of losing business for themselves. So, Accommodation providers display experiences, and experience providers display accommodation. EVERY Welsh tourism website becomes a ‘One Stop Shop’ for the visitor and everyone is a winner!
