TripAdvisor is a disgrace... I tried for months to have a negative review posted on Cardiff Sea Safaris account but Trip Advisor believe that a business delivering mostly walks in the Brecon Beacons is a 'direct competitor' to a boat hire company in Cardiff and so disallowed my review. TripAdvisor allow me to review a cafe in Cardiff but not a cafe in Pontneddfechan - and they won't tell me why as their algorithms and protocols are 'proprietary'...
I was whistleblowing that there was something wrong with Cardiff Sea Safaris. And there was. They have disappeared and run off with clients pre paid event money... TripAdvisor consistently defended Cardiff Sea Safaris and so placed their clients at risk and likely had some of their users been directed to Cardiff Sea Safaris and to a loss of their money. TripAdvisor have issued Cardiff Sea Safaris with a certificate of excellence...
Visit Wales were still listing Cardiff Sea Safaris until last week when I told them to take them down. Cardiff Tourist Information should have been on the case, I told them about Cardiff Sea Safaris back in October... where is the joined up working?
I think it best to trust no tourist information centre or listing website and certainly not the ratings website TripAdvisor. Just go with friends recommendations...
All I can say is that I tried and it's very frustrating to have hit a corporate brick wall and failed. And in that failing people have clearly suffered.
Once again, shame on Cardiff Sea Safaris, shame on Cardiff Tourist Information and shame on TripAdvisor...
