The WORY - November 2020
One of twelve posts highlighting the best of 2020 - this is The Wales Outdoors Review of the Year!
It was a bad start for November with the lockdown still in place but there was some light at the end of the tunnel and that was freedom towards the end of the month. We planned in a series of walks to once again celebrate both Wales and the return of our freedom! Alongside the walks we launched the Wales Outdoors Classroom, a service that is FREE to join and designed to enable all to attend our walks so long as they are taking part in the offered education.
The range of walks at the end of November were stunning! The Dragons Back, Foraging at Batmans's Falls, Wales very own Lake District, Andy's Amazing Eight Waterfalls, Classic Pen y Fan Horseshoe and The Worms Head...
Wales Outdoors also innovated and introduced the new FREE service, Wales Indoors, a once a week zoom available to all and focused on Wales, walking and the mental health of all in these difficult and often lonely times.
We believe Wales Outdoors are continuing to do more for tourism and community in Wales than any other adventure or activity or walking provider. Furthermore we are positive we are innovating more and offering more than the statutory services and local authority and government agencies that really ought to be ashamed of their feeble and meagre offerings. Go Team Wales Outdoors!
At the end of November it became clear we were heading into another full lockdown in December and so all further walks were cancelled and we prepared to hunker down and daily be shocked and angered by the news.
