The WORY - June 2020
One of twelve post highlighting the best of 2020 - this is The Wales Outdoors Review of the Year!
Same old same old - but I was still busy. Planning, restructuring the booking system, preparing for the opening up of the countryside on July 6th...
And of course complaining.
I wrote to Mark And Boris!
I took on those in Cardiff Council who were simply not doing their job of maintenance. You know there is a problem with castle building, people wanting to leave a legacy but I am of the opinion that we have mostly all that we need in place only if it were well maintained. My moan re fencing and surfacing of the Ely Trail began in April and was ongoing throughout the summer and through into the Autumn. At first I was ignored and then lied to and then finally, in September they agreed to make safe from the Trunk road the path and to re-surface sections of it. Despite this I had to again tell them that the work wasn't good enough and they had to go back and do some of it again!
I entered into major disputes with Apple and with google and I won!
I attacked VisitWales and absolutely trounced them. Of course I did not win that one. Governments are a law unto themselves.
And we continued walking Bute Park and Thompsons Park and The Ely Trail and Leckwith Woods and Dinas Powis Woods...
