The WORY - January 2020

One of twelve post highlighting the best of 2020 - this is The Wales Outdoors Review of the Year!

January saw Andy returning from Bavaria and a recce for a trip with Wales Outdoors clients in 2021. The Bavarian Alps are stunning as is the infrastructure and hospitality. The new 'holiday' will be a spa based trip with visits to municipal and private spas in Berchtesgaden and Salzburg. The walks include a hike to and boat trip on Lake Konigsee and a wander to Hitler's favourite spot, The Eagles Nest. Please note this holiday is now bumped to January 2022 due to the current travel restrictions.

Once back it was into delivery of January's programme of walks, two each weekend and including waterfalls and beaches and mountains. The first walk was a wander around Kenfig Nature Reserve with the aim to find the castle, the week (we never found it) the pool and of course to enjoy the wide and empty beach.
