The WORY - December 2020
One of twelve posts highlighting the best of 2020 - this is The Wales Outdoors Review of the Year!
It's the last one, the last month of 2020, and it's a sorry tale of lies and malfeasance and disinformation and actual mass suffering under the yolk of Covid 19.
If anything became as clear as a highland spring during this month it was that the government and in fact all governments really do not have a clue, do not know which way to turn and in fact are in at least in a great part being led by the hysterical unwashed.
No walks!
But we continued with the weekly meetup in our Thursday night Zoom Room - Join us this week if you like :)
We went away for a few days to a hot tub hideaway - see the gallery HERE!
You can see our ongoing personal walks galleries HERE!
We went for a few walks but all personal and local, apart, from on Christmas Day where we took advantage of the 'Freedom Pass' and walked in the Brecon Beacons National Park. This kicked off a long and vicious argument which I defended that decision with facts and I was attacked for that position with emotion. I asked again and again for actual facts refuting my assertions but all I got was misinformation and tired and false arguments. So I wrote THIS.
On the Wales Outdoors development side we moved for hosting our own booking platform to working with Fareharbor, an international provider of booking and ticket services for the outdoor and tourism industries. It's stable, secure and hopefully will see us providing the very best service to clients through 2021 and beyond.
I also, right at the end of the year, launched a website for you. It's called Wales Walks and is the space for you to share your walks with the world :) Check it out :)
And to end the year we saw Wham's 'Last Christmas' get to No. 1 for the first time... Is that prophetic?
