Yes, the Welsh Government can go do one. The self-employed have to make a case of hardship and might gain a discretionary payment of five hundred pounds... That's what's on offer in this round of covid 19 business support funding. Disgraceful.
I've already detailed the collapse in bookings and the hard work that entailed, all for little to no income, as 'they' kept on messing with the regulations and further destroying peoples ability to look to the future and to plan in events. Five hundred pounds is a kick in the teeth. Five hundred pounds...
I've had ZERO government support throughout this non-pandemic. I've been 100% against the closing down of the economy, the social distancing and the mask-wearing. There truly is ZERO evidence that these measures make the slightest bit of difference to the spread of virus. There is evidence that these measures cause far more harm than good.
I did not decide to stop working. I was forced, like most other self-employed, to down tools, by a government that is either 100% incompetent, OR, by a government that has a nefarious agenda. Whatever the result for me is the same.
Never will I close my business at the whim of a well-paid official. I am very close to making a list of all those professions that I will not serve, that are not welcome on Wales Outdoors walks. Anyone in any Government who had a hand in covid policy, take it as my policy that you are top of the list. You are not welcome.
And they can't even get their website right... Upon clicking on the bottom link, expecting to be taken to Business Wales Advice I got a 403... SHOCKING!
