Solstice Sunrise
Despite the early start, it was still dark when we gathered at the car park of the Brecon Beacons National Park visitor centre, we had a large group of keen walkers turn up for our megaliths and roman road and Iron Age solstice sunrise walk.
There were some short and sharp and feroucious downpours but most were well equipped and there were just a few cold finger and noses :)
The sunrise, although obscured by cloud and so yet again the magic of the megalithic spectacle could not be observed, was magical and had all snapping away at it's gorgeousness.
Solstice Sunset Gallery
Following on from the megalithic sunrise point we wandered on and found a Roman era quarry, a Roman road, a megalithic standing stone, some 'pillow mounds' and an Iron Age hill fort, all while chatting away and enjoying an early morning stroll.
We then adjourned to the cafe at the visitor centre for some well earned tea and cake :)
We will definitely be delivering this again next December so do look out for the listing.
