Yes, we were chosen to be a part of this campaign despite being refused access to the VisitWales website!

We’ve been included by those amazing people at Visit Britain to be available to book a Wales Outdoors walk using the £25 voucher that is accessible when using the Natioanl Lotteries portfolio of products. The team at the National Lottery have even used one of our photos in their national campaign! Here are the events and activities available when using the voucher in Wales and where Wales Outdoors products number four of the sixteen on offer!

£25 For exciting National Lottery Days Out

National Lottery players can use any National Lottery ticket, Scratchcard or Instant Win Game to get a £25 voucher to put towards a fun day out at one of hundreds of venues, many of which have benefited from National Lottery funding.

The interesting thing here is that Visit Britain are doing so much to enable participation in a variety of tourism products, by enabling a live booking system on their tourism portal, by engaging with household names in promotional activities and by supporting those that partner with them by having reliable and informed teams to assist where needed.

This is in sharp contrast to Visit Wales who have denied Wales Outdoors and indeed almost all guided walk and small event providers access to their tourism portal, by failing to deliver a live booking system and by not offering up promotions and advertising offers to any that they represent.

Seriously now, it’s time to ‘take back control’ and to have Visit Wales removed from the corridors of power, to have all that money wasted written off and to have all future funding go directly to the tourism associations, managed by the providers themselves, to be used to create supplier portals that actually benefit the tourism industry in Wales.
