Get Your Guide
OMG! You really are up your own arses aren’t you!
That was my last communication with the online group booking agency, 'Get Your Guide'.
I, as a five star across all platforms and award winning adventure and guided walks operator, applied to have a partnership with Get Your Guide, in the same way that i have relationships with both Booking.com and TripAdvisor.
They said 'no' with no reason given.
I asked them 'why?'
The then went on to tell me that they were the supplier engagement teama nd they couldn;t question the decisions made by the sales team so I asked to speak to the sales team. They got back to me saying thank you for the application but their decision is finasl and they will not engage further.
This kinda treatment I have experienced before. Airbnb being a fine example of one department saying they are disallowed to speak to another and that they can offer no feedback to a potential business partner. Anyways, I got back to them with this:
'Nope, the outcome isn’t frustrating but your companies lack of transparency is. You people, and I lump you in here with the likes of airbnb and fb and google etc, think you can dictate to those who pay your wages, you know, those who do the 'actual work'.
So, I have just won a global tourism outdoor adventure award and my business has only effusive 5 star feedback. No complaints, no four stars, just VERY happy customers and five star feedback, and that’s across all platforms.
So, if I can’t, for a SECRET reason known only to yourselves, work with 'Get Your Guide', then who the hell can?
And it’s the secrecy and that’s ‘our last written communication’ on this that has made me angry.
Just have someone tell me WHY and lets be done with it...
I can only imply that I didn’t offer up a back hander, you know, a bribe. I mean what else would be the reason given the informatiion I have provided and the ease of set up given that I already work with a partner of yours, Fareharbor, and have similar products good to go.
