Facebook Time Again!

THE MONDAY MOAN - A once a week spot for us to moan about the stuff that perhaps we should all be moaning about that little bit more... 

I have spammed facebooks own pages with this:

'This account is trying to sell tickets that they are not authorised to sell https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100006913997591 - I am fed up with the amount of fake accounts fb allows to get onto my events and which try to spam and defraud my clients. Please tell me what I can do to stop this and please tell me what you are doing to stop this?

You have bots that can spot nipples so why not have a bot that allows page owners to authorise to ban fake sellers. Sort out the priorities please FB - and while you're at it you can tell me why you think it is not a fake account.

You can also delete Isaac Adeyemi and then go through ALL of my events and delete all comments from fake sellers and remove them from your platform!'

Why? Because fb are doing nothing to prevent fraud. Wales Outdoors events that are marked Sold Out get hit by multiple fake accounts offering multiple tickets to our events. The fake accounts have never bought a ticket from us and have no tickets for sale. There is no way to contact fb about this.

Once again this is a moan about the large tech companies that really do not have your best interests at heart. It's a simple to thing to have an algorithm that stops re-selling. I'd like to see a blanket ban on re-selling across all social media, or perhaps an opt in for pages to allow it.

When flagged fb said that there was nothing wrong with he account. Nothing wrong? Selling tickets that don't exist? And so they left the fake account up and the owner of that fake account is still trying to sell tickets he/she does not have...

Very poor service...
