2000 Footers - 1
A couple of years back Andy delivered a series of walks across the Brecon Beacons National Park and they were a great success, taking in, one range or ridge or peak at a time, all of the hills over 2000ft.
Andy thought it was a bout time he delivered this series of walks again and so the group met at Mountain Road Car Park for the first in a series of nine (soon to become ten) walks.
It was a cold night, Andy knows this as he camped out at the start point in his camper van, only to be disturbed at 0630 by a minibus full of rather happy and raucous female Japanese students... who would have thought it! But the cold was good even if the awakening by the Japanese wasn't.

There was a thick frost covering the ground and the mud that we expected to be walking through was no more, frozen in place, hard and crunchy underfoot.
As this was the first in the series and the first proper mountain day for the group for 2020 it was a fine turnout of members, newcomers and assistants. And that weather, stunningly gorgeous throughout the day with fine views, crisp air and blue skies.
Here's the feedback for the day:
'Thanks Andy, a great day with fab weather! More please!'
'Great walk today, really enjoyed it 👍'
'Great day great views good people thanks for the day 😊'
And here is Al's 'wikiloc' for the day - this shows his photos, the distance and the ascent :)
